SkillsFuture Singapore revealed in its recent study that there are cross-sector green skills and emergence of new green job roles under the engineering industry.
This as brown industries are undertaking measures on how to be greener in their operations, products, and services.
Green skills such as energy management and audit, sustainable engineering, environmental sustainability management, environmental management system framework development and implementation and renewable energy system management and integration are highly needed across engineering roles.
New roles include being knowledgeable with clean technologies, managing environmental sustainability, and digital skills such as internet of things applications, programming, and coding, and big data analytics.
