Lian Beng Group bags $173m contract to build condo towers

The construction of two 36-storey towers at River Valley Close will start in November.

Lian Beng Group has secured a contract worth $173m through its subsidiary Lian Beng Construction (1988) to construct a condominium development at River Valley Close for Carmel Development, the company announced.

This boosted the company’s order book to $1.6b and its aggregate value of contracts since the start of FY 2020 to $515m.

The contract involves the demolition of the existing buildings on the 128,352 sq ft site occupied by the Pacific Mansion condominium, and the construction of two 36-storey condo towers with 376 units, a landscape deck, common basement carparks and communal facilities.

The development is planned to start in November, to be completed in November 2022.
