Surbana Jurong reveals new global headquarters in JID
The campus will foster collaboration, learning, and innovation in the built environment.
Surbana Jurong unveils its SJ Campus at the CleanTech Park in Jurong Innovation District (JID), to serve as a centre for collaboration and innovating solutions for the built environment.
Designed by Safdie Architects and SJ’s architects, the campus spans 1,200,000 sq ft featuring nature motifs inspired by Singapore’s “City in Nature” character. This “Campus in Nature” can accommodate 4,000 onsite employees.
Located at a previously undeveloped greenfield site, the SJ Campus design preserves over 50% of the site’s green space and replaces built-upon green areas with rooftop and interior gardens and exterior landscaping.
The SJ Campus has ten towers linked by a pedestrian spine and enclosed courtyards that bring in natural light and fresh air. The campus also features amenities such as a 1,000-seater multipurpose area, a ballroom, rooftop terraces, a team lounge, table tennis, and a soon-to-open gym.

Its location also attracts walking trail enthusiasts, birdwatchers, cyclists, and families exploring the Jurong Eco-Garden.
The project is certified by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA)’s Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy (SLE) and BCA-HPB Green Mark Platinum for Healthier Workplaces.
“SJ’s new campus itself can be an incubator for innovation and industry collaboration. Your campus is located within Jurong Innovation District, which is also a hub for wider collaboration and innovation. Within the Jurong Innovation District, you can tap on research capabilities in NTU and A*STAR, and work with other firms in urban solutions and advanced manufacturing to develop new solutions,” DPM Lawrence Wong said at the opening ceremony of the SJ Campus.
