SIA Engineering Company appoints Png Kim Chiang as director
He has 41 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
Mr. Png Kim Chiang, 57, is the chief executive officer of the company since April 1, 2015. He joined Singapore Airlines (SIA) in 1975. He worked in various departments of the engineering division of SIA and was appointed vice president for engineering supplies in 1998. He was transferred to SIAEC in April 2001 as senior vice president for services. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he was appointed senior vice president for commercial in September 2005, for aircraft and component services in April 2009 and executive vice president for operations in April 2010.
Mr. Png is deputy chairman of Singapore Aero Engine Services and Boeing Asia Pacific Aviation Services. He is also director for SIA Engineering (Philippines) Corporation, Hong Kong Aero Engine Services, and JAMCO Singapore.
He has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Computation from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore.
