BASF Global Research Centre Singapore
BASF first set up its R&D Lab for Nanostructured Surfaces in April 2006 – the company’s first research facility in Asia for Nanotechnology.

The goals of this new research unit are to realize innovative ideas in product development for existing growth markets (automotive, construction, household, cosmetics and electronics); to support unique scientific solutions for emerging markets (electronics, energy and resource conservation) and to further develop the activities in nanotechnology as a key technology for BASF. In May 2007, this research facility was further expanded to include the R&D Lab for Organic Electronics, which also houses the R&D activities for Organic Photovoltaics.
