SLA launches tender to revitalise Tanjong Katong Complex
The winning tenderer will also manage the property for 30 years.
The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has launched the Tanjong Katong Complex (TKC) for sale through a Concept and Price Revenue tender.
The tender seeks proposals to revitalise TKC as a commercial hub, aligning with the Paya Lebar sub-regional centre’s vision whilst preserving Geylang Serai’s cultural heritage.
The successful bidder must refresh TKC with lively retail and dining options, dedicated spaces for Malay trades, event-friendly public plazas, and better pedestrian connectivity to nearby areas like Wisma Geylang Serai and Paya Lebar Quarter.
When revamping TKC, the winning developer must preserve its slanted columns and cylindrical structures, whilst adding a new pedestrian entrance and improving connectivity.
The winning tenderer will also manage the property, sub-lease commercial units, and foster community engagement with a diverse mix of tenants under a 30-year lease.
