MOM to implement revisions on snap WFH regime
The revisions will take place on 22 September.
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) announced via a press release that amendments will be made to the snap work-from-home regime, to take effect today, 22 September.
Changes include the reduction of the snap WFH regime to 10 days from the original 14. This is in line with the reduction in quarantine period also applied for those exposed to Covid-positive cases. This will apply to companies with three or more Covid-positive cases working on the same premises within a period of 7 days. Workers will also have to undergo an Antigen Rapid Test and test negative before they return.
The snap WFH period will also take effect the day after the latest Covid-positive test result of the third employee.
Areas where the confirmed cases worked are to undergo vacating, cordoning off and deep cleaning. Rules such as no social gatherings at the workplace, ensuring a 50% workforce onsite, individual meal breaks and observing safe distancing will also still be implemented.
