ACCA unveils accelerator programme for SMPs' overseas expansion
The six-month programme will give targeted workshops and mentoring for $388.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) launched the AccXelerator Programme, which is designed to enable small and medium practices (SMPs) to capture new opportunities in new markets and adopt scalable technology to grow, an announcement revealed.
The programme will leverage ACCA’s research and network to help leaders and decision makers who are committed to accelerating their growth to capture new opportunities overseas.
“With the rise of online marketplaces and cross-border e-commerce, the expectations for SMPs to be equipped with the relevant knowledge, skills and abilities will help them to stay ahead of the game,” Reuter Chua, national office head of ACCA Singapore, said in a statement.
Through the AccXelerator programme, the association will offer a series of targeted workshops, clinics and mentoring sessions that will help SMPs towards reinventing their mission and capture overseas opportunities.
ACCA has also partnered with cloud technology providers such as Xero to educate SMPs on topics such as cloud accounting, issues on security, and payments for cross-border business transactions.
The first cohort will be limited to 10 participants. The cost of the 6-month AccXelerator programme (11 CPD hours) is $388 per person.
The AccXelerator programme is a collaborative effort between ACCA, the National Trades Union Congress and AI Singapore.
