
M1 and Trend Micro launch Internet security solution for personal computers
The communications service provider will offer packages with anti-virus and data theft prevention software components starting October 21.
M1 has teamed up with Trend Micro, a company specializing in Internet content security, to provide safeguards to its customers browsing the Internet.
M1 will offer three different packages comprising various software components such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, web threat protection, unauthorised change prevention, anti-spam, firewall optimisation, parental controls, data theft prevention and others. The packages will cost from as low as $3.75 per month for a license covering 3 PCs.
As a main feature, parents can shield their young children from inappropriate content and limit their Internet usage. The service will also be able to protect against online threats such as virus, malware and spyware. It will filter out suspicious websites to ensure online safety, as well as prevent unauthorized attempts to change operating system and software.

M1 customers will be billed on a monthly basis and receive automatic software updates for as long as they are subscribed to the service. They will also enjoy the added convenience of not having to renew their software licenses annually.
As part of a launch promotion, customers will enjoy 50% off the first 6 months of subscription.
