The seed round of investment was lead by FreakOut Holdings, Inc.
Workforce management app StaffAny garnered $1m during its seed funding rounded by FreakOut, an announcement revealed.
Amongst the angel investors are HR tech entrepreneur Kenji Niwa, and live-chat software Zopim co-founders Lim Qing Ru, Kwok Yang Bin and Royston Tay.
The funding will be used to support the company’s growth and expansion plans.
StaffAny’s platform features scheduling of staff, on-site time clock in place of punch cards, smart timesheets that can detail changes in shifts, leave applications, and real-time automatically generated reports.
It manages hourly workers typically found in F&B and retail sectors, where manpower crunch are said to be frequent. The app currently caters to around 70 businesses, with over 2,000 staff.
StaffAny previously received $75,000 grant funding from organisations including the (NUS) Enterprise SG and pre-accelerator programme StartupX.
