Temasek Poly to train 200 OCBC staff on cybersecurity
The Cyber Certification Pathway is part of the bank’s $20m initiative to train employees on future skills.
OCBC Bank has teamed up with Temasek Polytechnic to train 200 bank employees to become cybersecurity experts in the next three years, according to a press release.
The partnership, called Cyber Certification Pathway, was launched at the OCBC Campus and is part of the bank’s Future Smart Programme, a $20m initiative aimed at educating employees on skills necessary for future operations. It will focus on four areas: digital services and solutions, software development, risk and assurance, and security operations and monitoring.
Lecturers from TP School of Informatics & IT partnered with OCBC on risk management and audit and cyber security.
TP, appointed cyber security training provider for the ASEAN Singapore Cyber Security Centre of Excellence in October, had prior collaborations with government agencies and software providers for training in reverse malware engineering, digital security and digital forensics. The institution has also put up a TALENT LAB backed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to provide scenario-based training on cybersecurity.
