The CEO designate said he aims to drive development in the company’s business units.
Gary Ho, who played an instrumental role in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Nanofilm Technologies International Limited, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company.
In a press release, the company announced that Ho will take over interim CEO Shi Xu beginning January 1, 2022.
Xu, meanwhile, will continue his role as executive chairman of the company.
The deep-tech company said Ho’s appointment is part of its ongoing succession planning.
As CEO, Ho will be tasked to provide “strategic and operational guidance” to the company’s business units.
“My aim is to drive the development of our business units as we find new and exciting avenues for the commercialisation of our deep technology capabilities. The potential applications of our technologies span numerous industries and I look forward to see these come into fruition in the years to come,” the CEO designate said.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Ho served as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and led business development efforts of the company to “cultivate business opportunities in new market segments and deepen relationships with existing customers.”
