It has opened an office in Singapore amidst its expansion plans in Asia Pacific.

Digital identity company BioCatch has received a registered US patent for its method of verifying user identity and detecting fraud based on the manner in which the user holds and uses their mobile device, the company announced.

The method brings the company’s total patent to 57 since its founding in 2011.

BioCatch has also started to expand in Asia Pacific, as it opens an office in Singapore and adds to its operations in India with an increased focus in Asia Pacific as well.

“We continue to enhance our platform and find new ways to protect financial institutions and their customers from fraud and cybercrime. Surpassing 50 patents is a major milestone and a testament to our innovative strength and leadership in the industry,” BioCatch founder Avi Turgeman said.
