Cybersecurity startup Horangi bags $29.09m in series B funding

Funds will be used to strengthen the company’s position within the region.

Cybersecurity company Horangi secured $29.09m (US$20m) in a series B funding round led by Southeast Asian private equity firm Provident Growth, an announcement revealed.

The new funding brings Horangi’s total funds to 33.6m (US$23.1m). Other participants in this round include venture capital (VC) firms Monk’s Hill Ventures, Right Click Capital and venture debt fund Genesis Alternative Ventures.

The funds will be used to push Horangi’s expansion efforts in Singapore and Indonesia, where the demand is said to be high.

They also plan to double their staff count to 160 across the region and enhance its cloud security product Warden.
