
Discover Singapore’s best performing IT stocks YTD
The ten largest averaged a 6.1% gain so far.
Singapore Exchange (SGX) lists more than 80 stocks that are categorised to Information Technology by the Global Classification Standard (GICS®).
According to SGX, the current ten largest capitalised IT stocks – Silverlake Axis, Venture Corporation, STATS ChipPAC, GSH Corporation, TPV Technology, Hi-P Technology, iFast Corporation, GP Industries, Chuan Hup Holdings and Elec & Eltek International Company have a combined market capitalisation of S$9.6 billion, and they averaged a 6.1% gain in 2015 as of the 23 February close.
The best performing stocks among the ten largest capitalised in the year thus far have been iFAST Corporation, Chuan Hup Holdings and TPV Technology.
Of these three stocks, iFAST Corporation has been the most recently listed stock, listed in December last year, almost 15 years after the company was incorporated on 10 January 2000 as Fundsupermart.com Pte Ltd. iFAST stands for “Investments and Funds Administration, Services and Transactions” platform and the company provides funds and investments distribution platform headquartered in Singapore. The company is also present in Hong Kong, Malaysia and China.
The three largest IT plays are Silverlake Axis, Venture Corporation, STATS ChipPAC – each representing the three key types of IT stocks – Software & Services, Technology Hardware and Equipment and Semiconductors and Semiconductor Equipment.
