
How did SG fare in terms of ICT progress?
Singapore scored highest compared to its regional peers.
Singapore scored 97.8 out of 100 in the 2024 edition of the ICT Development Index (IDI) of the United Nations (UN) specialised agency International Telecommunication Union.
The ICT Development Index aims to assess the extent to which connectivity is universal and meaningful. This Dashboard presents the performance of an economy on the various components of the IDI.
The country’s score remained unchanged from the previous edition, but granted it fared highest in the region – next to Hong Kong which scored 97.4, inching up a notch.
The country also scored higher than the world average of 74.8. The index assesses the progress of information and communication technology (ICT) in 170 economies by measuring the level of universal and meaningful connectivity.
