Singapore has the highest desktop display ad fraud rates: IAS
Ad fraud rates in desktop display was at 4.1% in Singapore.
Desktop display ad fraud rates were the highest level globally in Singapore with 4.1% whilst rates were lowest in Poland with 0.4%, technology firm, Integral Ad Science (IAS), said in its latest report.
In its 16th Media Quality Report, IAS noted that ad fraud in mobile display was the highest in Germany with 2%, followed by Japan with 1.5%.
IAS revealed that mobile environments are still safer than desktop display, with optimised-against-ad-fraud rates hovering steadily at 0.5% or below for both display and video ads worldwide.
For mobile web display ad fraud, Singapore ranked 14th with a score of 0.8%.
IAS defined ad fraud as “any impressions resulting from a deliberate activity that prevents the proper delivery of ads to real people, at the right time, in the right place — resulting in financial or opportunity loss by the advertiser and/ or publisher in a particular transaction."
