Singtel, StarHub join forces to help combat WannaCry ransomware

The two will be setting up helplines for customers.

With the current global ransomware attack by the WannaCry virus, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore has sought the helping hand of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) Singtel and StarHub to provide further information on the ransomware to businesses and members of the public.

The two will be setting up helplines to provide advice to their customers.

"This is an issue of national importance and we will take all the necessary measures to counter the spread of the ransomware and help businesses and members of the public prevent or recover from it as quickly as possible,” CSA CEO David Koh said.
