StarHub is world’s most sustainable telco
The telco is amongst the four companies that made it to the list.
Telecommunications firm, StarHub, is cited as the world’s most eco-friendly telco both fixed and wireless, improving to 34th place from 72 in the 2023 Corporate Knights’ Global 100 at the World Economic Forum.
It is placed against more than 6,700 firms and is also one of the four Singapore-based companies that was included in the list.
Corporate Knights reviewed companies’ based on a suite of 30 key performance indicators such as “environmental performance, clean revenue, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion.”
Veronica Lai, chief corporate and sustainability officer at StarHub, said they stepped up their green tech with the launch of an end-to-end green tech managed services in 2022.
“Through our comprehensive suite of connectivity, cloud networks and digitalisation solutions, we empower our customers to lower their carbon footprint, improve operational efficiency and reduce energy costs. Together with our customers and partners, we look forward to taking decisive action to build a smart sustainable city,” said Lai.
