Valuetronics injects $172m to boost JV’s AI computing infrastructure
The investment will add 750 MetaX GPU to Trio AI’s computing capacity.
Valuetronics, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Computing Assets Limited, will invest $172m to expand the AI computing infrastructure which will be leased to Trio AI.
Trio AI, a joint venture with SinnetCloud HK, is 55%-owned by Valuetronics.
Valuetronics will acquire an additional batch of approximately 750 MetaX Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) chips and ancillary hardware, expanding Trio AI’s computing capacity from the current 250 GPU chips to over 1,000 GPU chips.
This upgrade unlocks new revenue streams by enabling Trio AI to offer tailored services for AI-driven applications like personalised recommendations and advanced cybersecurity solutions.
It will also attract high-value clients who demand substantial
computational resources, such as AI research firms, tertiary education institutions, financial institutions, and autonomous systems developers.
In addition, the upgrade will allow Trio AI to offer accelerated AI model training, real-time analytics, and large-scale simulations.
The additional equipment will be leased to Trio AI for 60 months starting from the date of delivery and installation. The total leasing cost will be funded through Valuetronics’ internal resources.
