Google Cloud appoints new APAC vice president
Karan Bajwa succeeds former APAC vice president Rick Harshman.
Infrastructure, platform capabilities and industry solutions provider Google Cloud has announced the appointment of Karan Bajwa as its new vice president in APAC.
According to the firm, Bajwa’s new role would allow him to “lead all regional revenue and go-to-market operations for Google Cloud, including Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace. He would succeed former APAC vice president Rick Harshman, who has left the organisation in pursuit of a new opportunity."
Currently based in Gurgaon, India, Bajwa would relocate to Singapore later this year. In the meantime, he would lead Google Cloud in India until a new senior leader for it is appointed, the firm added.
Bajwa joined Google Cloud and led its Indian arm in March 2020.
“Under Karan's leadership, Google Cloud in India has grown from strength to strength and he’s helped advance the digital transformation journeys of many large Indian organizations across industries and expanded our partner community,” said Google Cloud president of sales Rob Enslin.
