Keppel T&T appoints Wong Wai Meng CEO of data centre division
He was VP of BT Advise BT Global Services across AMEA.
Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation Ltd (Keppel T&T) has announced the appointment of Mr Wong Wai Meng as its Chief Executive Officer, Keppel Data Centres effective 18 January 2016.
According to a release from Keppel Corporation, as CEO of Keppel T&T's data centre division, Mr Wong will spearhead the company's thrust towards being one of the leading data centre developers and operators in Europe and Asia Pacific. He will report to Mr Thomas Pang Thieng Hwi, CEO of Keppel T&T.
Mr Wong has more than 20 years of experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry. Prior to joining Keppel T&T, he was Vice President of BT Advise BT Global Services across Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Turkey (AMEA) where he managed the company's practices in business consulting, systems integration, software development, networking, mobility, collaboration and security.

He was also CEO of the BT Frontline group of companies where he played a critical role in the integration of BT Frontline into BT Global Services.

Mr Wong, who is 47 years old, holds the Honorary Treasurer appointment in the Executive Committee Council of Singapore IT (SiTF) and is also a Senior Member in the Singapore Computer Society. He graduated from Nanyang Technological University in 1994 with a First Class Honours in Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering), under the Thomson Scholarship.
