Hotel Fort Canning partners with GCF in tree planting campaign

According to a release, to commemorate 50 Years of Greening Singapore, Hotel Fort Canning is partnering with the Garden City Fund (GCF) to involve hotel guests in planting five trees at Fort Canning Park. This marks the first time a hotel is involving its guests in support of GCF’s Plant-A-Tree (PAT) Programme. This initiative will commence on Earth Day, April 22, 2013. Launched in 2007, the PAT programme provides an avenue for individuals and organizations to play a direct part in greening Singapore through planting of trees. Individuals who want to support the PAT programme need to donate $200 for the planting. From April 22 onwards, guests at Hotel Fort Canning can contribute directly to the PAT Programme, with the donation amount ranging from $10 to $200. Hotel Fort Canning aims to raise $1,000 for five trees to be planted at Fort Canning Park.
