Jetstar to move operations to Changi’s Terminal 4 by March 2023

T4 provides ample gate capacity to support its narrow-body aircraft fleet.   Beginning 25 March 2023, Jetstar will operate in Terminal 4 (T4) instead of Terminal 1 (T1).    The airline’s relocation follows the completion of its joint study with Changi Airport Group (CAG).   CAG’s Managing Director of Air Hub Development, Lim Ching Kiat, said Jetstar’s move will enable the airport to “optimise the use of its aircraft gates to meet increasing travel demand, especially during the early morning peak period.”   The airport said T4 provides ample gate capacity to support Jetstar’s narrow-body aircraft fleet.    “It also reduces the need for the airline to have bussing operations to remote stands,” added CAG. T4 has 17 gates that support narrow-body aircraft.   “Moving to Terminal 4 is the start of a new chapter. We are committed to continuing to ramp up our operation and plan for future growth, and we appreciate the assurances that CAG have given ahead of this move,” Barathan Pasupathi, Jetstar Asia’s CEO, said.    T4 reopened on 13 September after more than a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. It served about 350,000 passengers in its first month since reopening.
