Singapore's 3 big towns projected to yield over 80,000 new homes
This will be in the next 25 years.
According to Maybank Kim Eng, Tengah, Bidadari and Tampines North New Towns are areas still marked as reserve sites MP08. These are expected to yield over 80,000 new homes
In MP13, it is expected to see detailed breakdowns for intended locations for amenities, public and private housing, and commercial areas.
Here's more from Maybank Kim Eng:
Public housing is likely to take up as much as 75% of the land area, in our view.
For Tengah, we expect MP13 to incorporate the upcoming 20km Jurong Region Line which connects the western part of Singapore, linking Tengah to the Jurong Lake District.
With convenient connectivity, Tengah’s ~50,000 households will significantly enhance Jurong Lake District’s catchment area.
Bidadari is expected to yield ~12,000 homes, and we believe there will be opportunities for an integrated development atop the Woodleigh MRT station to cater to the retail needs of the future residents.
We think Tampines North will be zoned predominantly for residential use, providing another ~20,000 new dwelling units and enhancing the catchment area of Tampines Regional Centre.
Timeframe will be over the next 25 years, starting in ~5 years.
