Over 800,000 HDB households to enjoy rebates this month

They can get vouchers of up to $65.

Over 800,000 HDB households will enjoy rebates in January 2016 thanks to the next instalment of the GST Voucher–Utilities Save (U-Save), according to an announcement by the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

Eligible Singapore households will receive a GST Voucher–U-Save of up to $65.

With the regular GST Voucher–U-Save, those living in 1- and 2-room HDB flats will be able to offset around 3 to 4 months of utilities expenses on average. Those living in 3- to 4-room HDB flats can offset 1 to 2 months of utilities bills on average.

Distributed every quarter, the GST Voucher–U-Save is a component of the permanent GST Voucher scheme that aims to aid lower- and middle-income Singapore households with living costs.
