Analyst advises investment to property developers with strong balance sheets
This as monthly home sales continue to decrease.
When Singapore’s home sales continue to decline, investors should make better decisions by investing in property developers that have strong balance sheets, CGS-CIMB said.
Home sales were low in December 2022, much lower than last year. With this, the analyst said it is wise to invest in property developers such as CIT, CLI, and UOL
Total sales for last year was 7,386 units, a 45% decline from the previous year. Prices for homes are also expected to increase 0-3% this year.
There are also potential risks that could hit the housing market such as interest rate hikes, a slow economy, and new property-cooling measures.
