Ang Mo Kio Ave 2 site to yield around 700 homes
URA has proposed to use the site for high-density residential projects.
If the Ang Mo Kio Ave 2 site gets developed for private housing, Huttons estimates it could produce approximately 700 homes.
On January 19, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) proposed an amendment to its Master Plan to designate land parcels on Ang Mo Kio Avenue 2 for "high-density residential developments."
In terms of height, Huttons said private housing on the site would be similar to The Panorama at 20 storeys.
“Units facing the north will have unblocked views over the landed estate. It may attract the landed homeowners who want to right-size or buy one for their children,” Huttons commented.
“The Ang Mo Kio Ave 2 site is the holding site for the former Kebun Baru Primary School. It sits in the mature estate of Ang Mo Kio and is very near to CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School. Mayflower MRT station is a short walk away,” the expert added.
Should the site be used for public housing, it will likely be launched under the Standard model, said Huttons.
