Chart of the Day: Private condo rents slip 2.7%
Compared to its peak, condo rents were down by 18.9%.
This chart from SRX Property shows that the property price index for non-landed private residential rentals increased slightly by 0.2% in July.
Non-Landed Private Residential units rents in CCR and OCR increased by 0.3% and 0.4% respectively, while that in RCR decreased by 0.1%.
On a yearly basis, rents were down 2.7% from July 2016. In individual sectors, CCR, RCR, and OCR posted 1.9%, 3.8% and 2.5% decrease in price, respectively.
On the other hand, rents in the month were 18.9% down compared to its peak in January 2013.
