Co-living startup Hmlet to launch second building in Newton
The company said the building will be the largest co-living space in Southeast Asia.
Singapore based co-living startup Hmlet is set to launch its second building in Singapore, Hmlet @ Sarkies, in District 11's Newton. According to an announcement, the building, to be launched with Indonesia's real estate investment firm ANB Investment, "will be the largest co-living space in Southeast Asia."
The 30,000 sqft condominium in Newton will include facilities such as rooftop common areas, a workspace, barbeque pits, and a swimming pool. "As with all Hmlet spaces, prospective members can expect to be paired with like-minded flatmates and enjoy monthly get-togethers ranging from yoga classes, networking sessions, to book clubs and cocktails evenings," the company said.
CEO and co-founder Yoan Kamalski said they are expanding their portfolio in Hong Kong and Indonesia. "We currently have capacity for 300 members and are excited to be on track to double this by the end of the year,” he added.
A spokesperson told Singapore Business Review that the viewing date on 18 April has been postponed and that the company is still deciding on the new date.
