  • Singapore’s oldest and biggest flea market will be closing for good on 10 July to make way for new homes. The Thieves’ Market at Sungei Road began as a small trading spot in the 1930s. It gained the nickname due to its reputation for smuggled, stolen and illegal goods following the Japanese Occupation. View the full report here.
  • Singapore is still interested in hosting the Formula One race if the terms are right, and discussions on keeping the event in the Southeast Asian nation are under way, according to the Singapore Tourism Board. Read more here.
  • HDB announced the launch of the first batch of Build-To-Order (BTO) flats for 2017. A total of 4,056 flats were made available across three different estates – Tampines, Clementi and Punggol. See more here.
