HDB resale prices down for the 8th straight quarter in Q2

Resale prices fell by 0.4%.

HDB resale prices fell by 0.4% in the second quarter, marking the eighth straight quarter of price declines.

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) said that the number of resale transactions increased 27.8% quarter-on-quarter with 5,286 flats sold on the secondary market.

HDB also noted that a total of 13,426 flats were offered for sale in the first six months of the year. This was made up of 8,039 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats and 5,387 balance flats.

In the second half, HDB will offer another 4,860 flats in Bidadari and Punggol Northshore in September, while an additional 4,000 flats will be simultaneously offered in a Sale of Balance Flats exercise.
