
HDB resale volume hits record high in April while prices stay flat
Over 1,800 resale flats were transacted.
The resale market for public flats sizzled in April, with transaction volume hitting a record high since the implementation of cooling measures in 2013.
Data from SRX Property show that a total of 1,828 resale units were transacted during the month, a 10.3% increase compared to 1,657 units sold in March.
Meanwhile, resale prices of HDB flats stayed broadly unchanged in April, with overall resale prices inched down by 0.1% on a month-on-month basis.
The resale prices of HDB 3 Rooms and Executive Flats increased by 0.6% and 0.1% respectively.
On the other hand, the resale prices of HDB 4 Room Flats remained the same while HDB 5 Rooms resale prices decreased by 0.9%. Prices have remained relatively flat for the past year since April 2015.
