HDB resale volume slipped 15.9% in November

Only 1,467 flats were transacted.

Fewer HDB flats were sold in the secondary market in November, according to a report by SRX Property.

HDB resale volume decreased by 15.9% month-on-month in November, with only 1,467 flats transacted in the market. This compares with 1,745 HDB flats transacted in October.

On a year-on-year basis, resale volume grew by 8.7% compared to 1,350 units in November 2014. Resale volume is down by 59.8% compared to its peak of 3,649 units in May 2010.

Meanwhile, prices inched up by 0.4% month-on-month, led by increases in prices of 4- and 5-room flats. Resale prices of 3-room flats and Executive Condominiums dropped by 0.7% and 0.2%, respectively.

On a year-on-year basis, prices have decreased by 1.9% from November 2014. Prices have declined by 11.3% since the peak in April 2013.
