Heads up! Gov’t to launch 9,500 new flats in November
There will be three PLH projects including two in Queenstown.
Over 9,500 new flats in both mature and non-mature estates will be open on 23 November 2022, Minister for National Development Desmond Lee said.
During the November sales, HDB will launch three Prime Location Public Housing (PLH) projects, including two in Queenstown and one in Kallang Whampoa.
“These projects are located very close to transport nodes like Dover, Buona Vista and Kallang Mass Rapid Transit stations, and are well-served by existing amenities and facilities,” Lee wrote on Facebook.
Lee also mentioned in his post that the flats “would naturally command higher market values.” But to make it affordable, they will issue an additional subsidy aside from the financial aid already provided for all build-to-order flats.
In Queenstown, Queensway Canopy will also be launched. However, “this will not be a PLH project because it is located further away from main transport nodes and major retail amenities,” said Lee.
“These flats thus have lower market values than the PLH flats at Ulu Pandan Banks and Ghim Moh Natura,” added Lee.
