Here are mid-market homes with the highest monthly rents
Rents range from $5.15-5.97psf.
According to Knight Frank, based on URA’s rental statistics as at 23 April 2013, Districts 1, 2 and 9 achieved the highest monthly rents per sq ft at $5.97, $5.49 and $5.15 respectively.
Besides the premium locations, properties for lease in these three districts tend to be of smaller sizes, resulting in higher rent per sq ft. This pattern had not changed since URA rental data made available in 1Q 2012.
Here's more from Knight Frank:
As per previous quarter, Districts 9, 10 and 15 have the highest leasing volume in the first two months of 1Q 2013 with 782 cases for districts 9 and 10 each and 758 cases for district 15.
Meanwhile, the most affordable rents were found in Districts 27 and 28 (Seletar, Yishun and Sembawang areas) with average monthly rents of $2.70 and $2.44 per sq ft, respectively, in the first two months of 1Q 2013.
However, these two districts were also among those with the lowest numbers of leasing volume; which were mainly attributed to less attractive locations.
