More launches drive new home sales up by 80.3% MoM in April
April marked the highest new home sales since September 2022.
Sales of new homes climbed in April, with 887 units sold during the month, data from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) showed.
The figure excludes executive condominiums (ECs) sold in April. Year-on-year, new home sales, excluding ECs, rose by 32.4%.
April marked the fourth consecutive month of new home sales increase, as well as the highest new home sales since September 2022.
CBRE attributed the increase in new home sales to the “attractive new city fringe launches” during the month, including Tembusu Grand, which has sold 55% of its units and Blossoms by the Park, with 75% of units sold.
By market segment, the Rest of Central Region (RCR) was the best performer, accounting for 628 units or 70.8% of total new home sales excluding ECs, followed by Core Central Region (CCR) with 208 units sold (23.4%) and Outside Central Region (OCR) with 51 units (5.7%).
