National Day Rally: New homes planned for Singapore’s 120km Southern coastline
PM Wong said 10,000 new homes could be built in Marina South and East.
Singapore will revitalise its 120km Southern coastline, with plans to develop new residential precincts along the waterfront.
In his first National Day Rally speech, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said there are plans to build new homes in Nicoll and Kampong Bugis precincts and Marina South and Marina East.
Wong said 10,000 new homes could be built in Marina South and East.
Additionally, Wong stated that the government plans to bring new HDB flats to Tanjong Rhu, an area currently dominated by private housing.
The prime waterfront coastline will encompass the Greater Southern Waterfront, Marina Bay, Kallang Basin, and Long Island.
