North Bridge Road, Bayshore to see strong reception in October BTO exercise
Projects in Kembangan and Ang Mo Kio will be popular too.
For the final Build-to-Order (BTO) exercise this year, property analysts expect projects in North Bridge Road and Bayshore to gather the most attention.
Huttons said the BTO along North Bridge Road will likely be popular due to its proximity to the Lavender MRT station and the Marina Reservoir, and since the last project completed in the area dates back to 1982.
The property agency also sees the BTOs in Bayshore garnering strong demand due to its prime location near the sea.
Home seekers will also likely be drawn to the Kembangan BTO since the project will be integrated with commercial amenities and the MRT station.
Huttons said the application rate for four-room flats in the three areas could exceed three.
Overall, PropNex CEO Ismail Gafoor expressed his optimism on the October BTO exercise, noting that they expect many prospective flat applicants to wait for that round.
Gafoor said Ang Mo Kio is also among the most attractive locations, in addition to Bayshore and Kembangan.
The Housing and Development Board (HDB) will be offering 14 BTO projects for the last BTO exercise of the year, comprising about 8,540 flats.
This will bring the total number of BTO flats launched in the entire 2024 to over 19,600 units, which would be 14% lower than the total in 2023.
The October sales launch will adopt the new classifications: Standard, Plus and Prime flats.
Meanwhile, housing experts believe the two Kallang Whampoa projects in Tanjong Rhu will draw the most interest in the June BTO launch.
