Private condo resale prices down 6.5% in January

Prices of CCR flats showed the largest drop.

Data released today by SRX Property showed that private residential resale prices slipped 6.5% year-on-year in January. On a month-on-month basis, resale prices eased by 0.2%, led by a 1.7% price drop in the Core Central Region (CCR).

Prices in the Outside Central Region (OCR) dropped by 1.1%, while Rest of Central Region (RCR) flats saw an increase of 1.5%.

An estimated 370 private condo units were resold last month , a slight 2% increase compared to 363 units resold in December 2014. Year-on-year, resale volume was 25.9% higher compared with 294 units resold in the same period last year.
