Private condo resale prices inch up in March as transactions surge

Almost 600 units were sold last month.

Resale prices of non-landed private homes inched up by 0.3% on a month-on-month basis in March, according to data released by SRX Property.

The increase came on back of a 47.6% month-on-month surge in resale volume, with an estimated 577 units resold over the month. This compares with just 391 units transacted in February.

In terms of individual sectors, resale prices in the Core Central Region (CCR) dropped by 1.7% during the month, while prices in the Rest of Central Region (RCR) and the Outside Central Region (OCR) rose 0.1% and 1.3%, respectively.

On a year-on-year basis, resale prices dropped 1.2% while resale volume rose by 19%.
