
Private home prices inched up 2.8% in 2012
It's lower compared to the 5.9% increase in 2011.
According to URA, prices of private residential properties increased by 1.8% in 4th Quarter 2012, compared to the 0.6% increase in the previous quarter. For the year 2012 as a whole, prices of private residential properties increased by 2.8%, compared with the 5.9% increase in 2011.
Prices of non-landed properties in Core Central Region (CCR) increased by 0.7% in 4th Quarter 2012, compared to the increase of 0.1% in the previous quarter. Prices in Rest of Central Region (RCR) increased by 0.9%, compared to the 0.8% increase in the previous quarter. For Outside Central Region (OCR), prices increased by 3.8% in 4th Quarter 2012, compared to the increase of 1.0% in the previous quarter.
Rentals of private residential properties increased by 0.7% in 4th Quarter 2012, compared with 0.9% in the previous quarter. For the year 2012 as a whole, rentals of private residential properties increased by 2.1%, compared with the 3.8% increase in 2011.
