
SGX probes a property developer's securities on short-term considerations
Sim Lian Group answers SGX's query.
According to a company statement, the Board of Directors of Sim Lian Group Limited wishes to provide additional information in response to query from the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited on the Annual Report for the financial year ended 30 June 2012:-
SGX-ST’s Query:
We note that the Company’s Annual Report did not state whether officers can deal in the Company’s securities on short-term considerations. In this regard, please provide the necessary disclosure required under Rule 1207(19)(b).
Company’s response:
The Company has stated on page 34 of Our Annual Report the Company’s internal compliance code for both the directors and employees of the Company in relation to their dealings with the Company’s securities.
While the Company’s Annual Report did not state whether officers can deal in the Company’s securities on short-term considerations, under the Company’s internal compliance code all officers of the Company are not permitted to deal in the securities of the Company on short-term considerations.
The Company wishes to advise that page 34 of the Annual Report would be substituted with the amended page 34 as attached to this Announcement. Copies of the amended page 34 will be made available at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held at Jurong Country Club, Ficus 1, Level 2, 9 Science Centre Road, Singapore 609078 on Thursday, 25 October 2012 at 10.00 am.
