URA to launch tender for 5,050 units in H2 2024 GLS Programme
The programme comprises 10 Confirmed List sites and nine Reserve List sites.
In H2 2024, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) will launch a tender for 5,050 units under the Confirmed List of the Government Land Sales (GLS) programme.
The H2 2024 GLS programme comprises 10 Confirmed List sites and nine Reserve List sites, yielding 8,140 residential units, 113,650 sqm gross floor area (GFA) of commercial space, and 530 hotel rooms.
The Confirmed List comprises nine private residential sites and one mixed-use site, whilst the Reserve List comprises five private residential sites, one commercial site, two White sites, and one hotel site.
The government will carry over the White site for a mixed-use development at Woodlands Avenue 2 and the short-term lease commercial site at Punggol Walk from the 1H2024 Reserve List to the 2H2024 Reserve List.
River Valley Road's site has also been carried over from the 1H2024 Reserve List.
In 2023, Singapore's housing supply will reach 11,110 units in 2024, the highest since 2013.
The government said it will release a steady supply of private housing to cater to demand, with supply adjusted every six months in response to prevailing economic and property market conditions.
