Watch out for these two GLS executive condo sites
The 250-unit Mattar Road site is near an upcoming commercial cluster in 2030.
Amongst the new supply of executive condominium (EC) sites the 1H2018 Government Land Sales Programme (GLS) will roll out, OrangeTee Research said two sites are likely to pique developers' interest.
According to a report, the Mattar road site is at an affordable quantum at 250 units and is located within walking distance to the Mattar MRT station.
The site is also likely to benefit from the development of the Paya Lebar Central, which OrangeTee projects to become a commercial cluster by 2030 as part of Singapore's decentralisation strategy.
Meanwhile, the other site at Canberra Link finds appeal from its rarity.
OrangeTee research & consultancy head Wong Xian Yang said, "There were only two such sites in 2015 and one site each in 2016 and 2017 on the confirmed list."
Given that unsold EC inventories are running low, and demand for ECs remains strong, keen interest for EC sites is expected. The last EC site tender, Anchorvale Lane in Sengkang, saw a significant turnout of 16 participants.
