The Westcom sells 87.5% of units within 3 days
Buyers were overwhelmingly Singaporeans.
In a release, Far East Organization announced that it has launched The Westcom this week with a successful sales take-up of 63 units out of the 72 units released in three days.
Of this, 43 were factory units and 20 were warehouse units. 90% of the buyers were Singaporeans.
Located along Tuas South Avenue 3, the six-storey Business 2 (B2) ramp-up industrial development boasts 144 warehouse and factory units. Prices for the 42-year leasehold development start at $ 1,148,000 for a 3,068 sq ft warehouse unit and $ 955,000 for a 3,079 sq ft factory unit.
"The positive response to The Westcom follows the success of Westlink One, Westlink Two and Tradelink Place within the Tuas South industrial estate. These three sold-out industrial projects underscore the strong demand for industrial space in this area with Tuas being the next growth area designated by the government for B2 industries," said Far East Organization.
The property firm added that the highly-anticipated 7.5 km Tuas West Extension will add to the accessibility of the area.
"This will feature four new above ground MRT stations – Gul Circle, Tuas Crescent, Tuas West Road and Tuas Link – to the East-West Line. Once completed in 2016, commuters working in the Jurong and Tuas industrial estates may expect to save travelling times of up to 35 minutes. A new 4 km dual 3-lane road viaduct along Pioneer road to Tuas South Avenue 3, integrated with the rail viaduct, will also facilitate smoother traffic in the area," it added.
