What to expect in HDB's Chencharu mixed-use development
HDB plans its first BTO launch in Chencharu in June.
The Housing and Development Board (HDB) released new details of the Chencharu master plan, the new housing area in Yishun.
The plans include a mixed-use integrated development with a bus interchange, park, a hawker centre, and shops. There will also be a 400-metre bus-only road, Chencharu Link.
The first BTO launch in Chencharu is scheduled for June and will feature 1,270 units ranging from 2-room Flexi to 5-room flats. From H2 2024, subsequent launches will offer either Standard or Plus flats.
The BTO launch in June will be under the old classification of flats.
Possible prices for 4-room flats may start from $300,000, whilst 5-room flats may start from $400,000.
|As the last BTO in the Khatib area was more than ten years ago, there may be pent-up demand for new flats. Young families may be attracted to Chencharu as there are primary schools within the vicinity,” Huttons said.
