The Ascott Limited appoints Lee Chee Koon as CEO

He will succeed Chong Kee Hiong whose resignation will take effect on 1 June 2013.

The Board of CapitaLand announced the appointment of Lee Chee Koon as chief executive officer of The Ascott Limited effective 1 June 2013.

Mr Lee, 38, is the most suitable candidate pursuant to the process of succession planning in place within the CapitaLand Group.

Mr Lee is the current deputy CEO of The Ascott Limited, concurrently running Ascott's business in North Asia. He is familiar with Ascott's business and has a proven track record, according to a CapitaLand report.

Mr Lee will oversee the serviced residence business of CapitaLand Group.

He is currently deputy CEO of The Ascott Limited since February 2012 and managing director, North Asia, The Ascott Limited since July 2009. Before this, he was vice president, Office of the President, CapitaLand from February 2007 to June 2009 and head, International Relations & Economic Strategy, Ministry of Finance from November 2003 to January 2007.
