Nana’s Green Tea Café first flagship store in Singapore opens tomorrow
Visit this Japanese tea house at Plaza Singapura.
Nana’s Green Tea Café focuses on the social aspect of a Japanese tea ceremony, offering a Zen experience for family and friends who gather over a common love and respect for quality matcha and Japanese cuisine.
The store is located at Plaza Singapura, 68 Orchard Road #03-80/82 and headed by Haru Furukawa.
Its café style menu encourages diners to select and share dishes that compliment Nana’s signature matcha creations. Food, desserts and beverages are thoughtfully prepared with an artistic flair. Nana’s Green Tea Café specialises in quality matcha from Kyoto, served as an espresso or as a tasty new creation and food that appeals to both eyes and tatsebuds.
This new shop opening tomorrow, December 21, will be Nana's first flagship store in Singapore. Nana's Green Tea Cafe has also come up with a new menu also offers a range of delightful dessert creations that are artistic and healthy like the Soft Cream Anmitsu, a soft serve vanilla ice-cream with red bean paste, white mochi and ‘Kanaten’ (traditional Japanese herbal jelly).
Nana will be having two more openings in Indonesia and Hong Kong next year.
Aside from that, Principal Architect Mr Masahiro Yoshida and his team at Kamitopen Design has decorated the modern rectangle frames with Nana’s signature ‘cha-tsuru’ (tea leaves and crane) and translucent rice paper used for a Japanese ‘shōji’ (door). The interior is further lined with four rows of suspended square frames, similar to the exterior where they are unique tables that seats 4 to 6 persons per square frame.
This clever arrangement of the lit frames allows customers to enjoy modern Japanese cuisine privately while in an open concept space.
