Black Friday Sale: Which products are on top of Singaporeans’ shopping lists?
Singaporeans spend $101 to $500 during the shopping event.
Personal care and beauty products are on top of the shopping list of more than half of Singaporeans (56%) planning to participate in the Black Friday sale, YouGov has found.
Apart from these products, most shoppers also want to buy consumer electronics and tech-related items (55%), and fashion apparel (54%) during the shopping event.
Others will buy either groceries and other packaged foods and beverages (31%), sports goods (23%), games and toys (21%) or home decoration and furniture (20%).
A few were interested in buying jewellery and accessories (17%) and books and stationery (11%).
Close to half of Black Friday Sale shoppers (44%) typically spend between $101 to $500 during the event, whilst a quarter spends between $51 to $100.
Meanwhile, one in 10 said they typically spend between $501 and $1,000, while just one in 20 spends more than that.
To reach audiences better during the Black Friday sale, YouGov said shops must advertise online since it was the most-recalled advertising channel, with 48% saying they recall seeing ads there.
Other good channels to advertise the sale include shopping apps and websites (39%), Facebook (32%), YouTube (26%) and Instagram (24%).
